Our Beginnings
Located in the historic wine-growing region of California’s Central Coast, Pacific Wine Services is dedicated to providing turnkey winemaking solutions for clients of all sizes. Since our establishment in 2006, we have made significant capital investments and recruited top industry professionals to develop a facility that has produced several 90-point-plus-rated wines.
Thanks to continued customer acquisition, Pacific Wine Services has been able to make significant capital investment in state-of-the-art equipment, as well as undertake three physical additions, enabling us to offer a complete assortment of viticulture services, including custom crush, legal compliance, destemming, filtration, fermentation, barrel storage, and bottling.
In the summer of 2020, Pacific Wine Services broke ground on its fourth facility, enabling operations to process more than 1,000 tons of product.and passion, Pacific Wine Services employs six full-time staff with combined industry experience of more than half a century.
These unique dynamics enable our firm to provide custom-tailored solutions for multinational enterprises, while providing an intimate customer experience that is unparalleled in the wine industry. General Manager
Kelsey Schmidt
PWS employee since 2022
Kelsey Schmidt is the General Manager of Pacific Wine Services, where she leads business operations, client relations, business development, marketing, human resources, and strategic planning. She has worked in the wine industry since 2011 and spent more than a decade immersed in the Paso Robles wine community, building a diverse career spanning hospitality, direct-to-consumer sales, wine club management, marketing, events, and custom crush production.
Kelsey earned a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Marketing from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Her experience with wineries of varying sizes and business models throughout California's Central Coast has given her a well-rounded perspective on both the customer experience and operational needs of successful wine businesses.
Her wine career began at Chamisal Vineyards, where she developed a foundation in hospitality and customer service. She then joined Concannon Vineyard before returning to the Central Coast, where she continued her career at Le Vigne Winery, Bianchi Winery, Broken Earth Winery, Epoch Estate Wines, and L'Aventure Winery. Across these seven wineries, Kelsey gained extensive experience in tasting room operations, wine club management, direct-to-consumer sales, event coordination, customer relationship management, and winery marketing. Working with boutique producers and larger, well-established wineries gave her a comprehensive understanding of diverse winery brands, customer journeys, and business operations.
Kelsey also served as the Consulting General Manager for Vin 13 Wine Bar in Paso Robles, where she helped oversee operations, guest experience, staff leadership, marketing initiatives, and business development while supporting the growth of one of downtown Paso Robles' premier wine destinations.
Today at Pacific Wine Services, Kelsey combines her hospitality background and operational expertise to help winery clients launch, grow, and scale their brands. She works with both first-time entrepreneurs and established producers, guiding them through the custom crush process, connecting them with trusted industry resources, and helping them navigate the decisions involved in building a successful winery.
Known for her collaborative leadership style, organization, and dedication to exceptional client service, Kelsey is passionate about creating long-term partnerships and contributing to the continued success of the Paso Robles wine community.
Director of Winemaking
Marin Wolgamott
PWS employee since 2021
Marin Wolgamott serves as Director of Winemaking at Pacific Wine Services, bringing nearly two decades of experience in vineyard and winery operations, production management, and premium winemaking. Her career spans California's Central Coast and international harvests, blending traditional techniques with modern innovation.
Marin's journey with Pacific Wine Services reflects the company's culture of growth and opportunity. She first connected with PWS as a custom crush client while producing wines for her own label, Marin's Vineyard. She later joined the team as Office Manager, where she quickly demonstrated her leadership, organizational skills, and understanding of the custom crush business. She advanced to General Manager, transitioned to Winemaker, and today leads the production team as Director of Winemaking.
Throughout her career, Marin has worked alongside respected winemakers and vineyard teams locally and internationally, gaining hands-on experience across every stage of winemaking—from vineyard sourcing and harvest logistics to fermentation management, blending, aging, and bottling. This breadth of experience allows her to work with clients across diverse production styles, varieties, and business goals.
Marin is also the founder and winemaker of Marin's Vineyard, an award-winning Paso Robles wine brand recognized for elegant, site-driven wines that showcase the region's exceptional vineyards. Her experience as both a custom crush client and winery owner gives her a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities PWS clients face.
As Director of Winemaking, Marin has built a team that reflects Pacific Wine Services' commitment to quality, collaboration, and exceptional client service. She has personally selected each member of the PWS team, including General Manager Kelsey Schmidt, her trusted co-commander of the PWS ship. Together, they bring complementary expertise in winemaking, operations, hospitality, marketing, and client relations to provide an exceptional custom crush experience.
Marin's leadership philosophy is rooted in partnership. Whether working with a first-time winery owner or an established producer, she is committed to helping clients craft exceptional wines while building lasting relationships founded on trust, communication, and shared success.
Assistant Winemaker
Allie Nacarra
PWS employee since 2023
Allie Nacarra serves as Assistant Winemaker at Pacific Wine Services, where she plays an integral role in guiding wines from harvest through bottling. With a strong foundation in chemistry and hands-on production experience, Allie brings both scientific precision and practical winemaking expertise to every vintage.
Before joining Pacific Wine Services, Allie gained valuable production experience at Scheid Family Wines in Monterey County, where she developed her technical skills in laboratory analysis, cellar operations, and harvest production. Her educational background in chemistry provides a unique perspective on the science behind winemaking, allowing her to approach every fermentation, analysis, and blending decision with both accuracy and curiosity.
Allie's journey at Pacific Wine Services reflects her dedication, work ethic, and passion for continuous learning. She joined the team in an enologist role and quickly distinguished herself through her attention to detail, technical knowledge, and willingness to take on new challenges. As her responsibilities grew, so did her leadership within the winery, earning promotions that led to her current role as Assistant Winemaker. Today, she works closely alongside Director of Winemaking Marin Wolgamott, helping oversee day-to-day production, laboratory operations, harvest logistics, cellar management, blending, and bottling while ensuring every client's wines receive exceptional care and attention.
Known for her calm demeanor, analytical mindset, and collaborative approach, Allie has become a trusted resource for both clients and the production team. Whether she's troubleshooting a fermentation, reviewing laboratory data, or helping execute a seamless bottling run, she is committed to maintaining the high standards of quality that define Pacific Wine Services.
Outside the winery, Allie is an avid Los Angeles Dodgers fan and rarely misses an opportunity to cheer on her team throughout the season. At home, she's kept busy by her three beloved cats, who undoubtedly run the household when she's not making wine. Her blend of technical expertise, approachable personality, and genuine enthusiasm for the craft makes her an invaluable member of the Pacific Wine Services team.
Cellar Lead
Francisco Rojas
PWS employee since 2023
Francisco is an essential member of the Pacific Wine Services production team, known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to continuous growth. His journey with PWS began as a contract temporary employee, where he quickly stood out for his positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on any task. It didn't take long for the team to recognize his potential, and he was brought on as a full-time employee.
Since joining Pacific Wine Services, Francisco has developed into one of the winery's most versatile and dependable cellar professionals. Through hands-on experience across multiple harvests, he has mastered every aspect of cellar operations—from fruit processing and fermentation management to barrel work, sanitation, bottling, and general winery operations. His dedication to learning and improving has made him an invaluable asset during both harvest and throughout the year.
Francisco is particularly recognized for his exceptional forklift skills, confidently and safely maneuvering everything from fruit bins and tanks to barrels and case goods. His precision and efficiency help keep daily operations running smoothly, especially during the fast-paced demands of harvest.
As a Cellar Lead, Francisco also plays a key role in training and mentoring Pacific Wine Services' seasonal harvest interns. He takes pride in teaching new team members proper cellar procedures, safety practices, equipment operation, and the attention to detail required to produce premium wines. His patience, approachable personality, and willingness to share his knowledge have helped many interns quickly become productive members of the harvest team.
Whether coordinating a busy crush pad, training new cellar staff, or ensuring every task is completed with care, Francisco exemplifies the teamwork, professionalism, and dedication that define Pacific Wine Services. His growth within the company reflects both his personal drive and Pacific Wine Services' commitment to developing talented individuals into future industry leaders.
2026 Harvest Intern
Veronica Cortes
Veronica Cortes joined Pacific Wine Services as a Harvest Intern, bringing enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn every aspect of the winemaking process. Working alongside the production team throughout harvest, she supports daily cellar operations while gaining hands-on experience in premium custom crush winemaking. Her positive attitude, dedication, and eagerness to take on new challenges make her a valued member of the PWS harvest team.
Outside the winery, Veronica is a talented musician, singer, and performer who enjoys sharing her passion for music both on and off the stage.
2026 Harvest Intern
Ari Godina
Ari Godina joined Pacific Wine Services as a Harvest Intern, bringing a strong agricultural foundation and enthusiasm for the wine industry. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Agribusiness, Ari combines his business education with a hands-on approach to learning every aspect of winery production.
Throughout harvest, he supports the cellar team with daily operations while gaining practical experience in premium custom crush winemaking. His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn make him a valuable addition to the Pacific Wine Services team.
